What YOYAKKA is
YOYAKKA (pronounced yo‑YAKKA) combines a friendly hello with the Australian idea of “hard yakka” — the work it takes to actually change things.
Australia is actively investing in onshore medical manufacturing and sovereign capability, from programs like the Modern Manufacturing Initiative and medical products road maps through to specific funding for onshore IV fluids and advanced medical products. Those policies recognise something many founders already feel: long offshore supply chains, slow prototype cycles and fragile logistics are now a strategic risk, not just an operational inconvenience.
YOYAKKA's research and development work sits in that context. Our medical manufacturing in Australia focus analyses real supply-chain behaviour, identifies where local capability genuinely changes the risk equation, and explores how everyday manufacturers could retool quickly to run short R&D batches and proof-of-concept runs. PROJECT: OnShore extends that work into the systems layer, asking how better onshore connectivity and infrastructure can shrink the time between "idea," "prototype" and "investable opportunity" for both operators and private capital.
